How this service handles submitted links, temporary files, browser preferences and contact entries.
Links entered into the tool
When you submit a link, this server sends the normalized TikTok video URL to TikWM to retrieve available file URLs. The server then fetches media from TikWM or TikTok CDN hosts. Do not submit private or sensitive links. TikWM and the source hosts receive these requests; their own logging and retention practices are outside this website’s control.
Retrieved files are stored in a private temporary directory on the server, with a ten-minute expiry. Expired files are removed on the next cleanup pass, normally within 30 seconds. Successful link results and file tokens are kept in memory for the same period. Stopping the server normally removes its temporary directory. An abrupt crash may leave files for manual cleanup.
The local server does not deliberately write submitted links to application logs. Hosting infrastructure may log requests when deployed. Rate limiting holds the connecting IP address in memory for about one minute. Download tokens grant access to a file until expiry; do not share them.
Theme settings and optional history
Selecting the sun or moon saves a theme preference in this browser's local storage. Without a saved choice, the page follows the device's light or dark preference.
Recent-link history is off by default. When enabled, successful checks save up to 20 link entries, tool names and times in this browser. No media files are stored in history. Clear the list or turn history off to remove the entries.
You can remove one entry, clear the list or turn history off to remove the entries and history preference. Clearing history leaves the theme preference intact. Your browser's site-data controls can remove stored preferences as well. Browser settings may block storage, and the tool reports when it cannot save or clear history. These entries do not sync through a site account.
The contact form is a demonstration
The preview form does not send or save your email address or message through the website. The browser may retain input through its own autofill or session features, which are controlled by your browser settings. Avoid entering passwords, access codes or sensitive information into the demonstration.
If you choose to email [email protected], the address, message and any attachments are sent through your email service. That is separate from the unsent form preview. Include only the information needed for your question.
Analytics, advertising and hosting
The current frontend includes no analytics or advertising scripts and sets no application cookies. Local storage is used for the preferences described above. Following an external documentation link takes you to another service with its own data practices.
A deployed host may process requests and access logs independently of the frontend. Hosting arrangements, log retention and any future analytics or advertising have not been finalized. This notice does not promise that a future hosted service will collect no data.
Before public launch
Production hosting, verified operator identity, provider terms and retention arrangements still need review. The local integration uses TikWM; no anonymity or zero-logging guarantee is made.
